Unforseen Consequences
Pretty neato, huh!? Well, it's only going to get better from here. After the disaster, you need to backtrack. Get in the room you were in that is right before the test chamber and operate the retinal scanner next to the door that is locked. It will open after a few seconds and you can pick up a health kit nex to the CPRing scientist. Go slowly when you turn the corner, because a piece of equipment will fall before you. Turn left and jump over the fallen beam. Then "use" the door and move on. Get up the elevator where you will hear a scientist tell you that you need to get help. This is a good time to practice "using" scientists. Just the press your use key while youre next to him and he will follow you everywhere, and on occasion, activate retinal scanners. THis is the case with this scientist, as he can activate the scanner right across the hall. In this same room, you can check out the cool specimens that somehow got into that container. After you let the scientist open the door, you can go back into the control room and let the wild laser blow away the locked door on the other side. Now you'll move into a room where a headcrab (the tiny facr sucker things) falls from the cieling. Run by it, as yuo have no way of killing it, and you'll see the next room is a disaster area. Duckin under the first laser and be careful while ducking under the second, as it has eratic movements. Somewhere along these lines you pick up a crowbar. To get through any door that is made of glass and will not open, you should smash the lower pane of glass and crawl through. Now to time for the elevator. Lol. I love seeing those guys plumit to the bottom. If you climb down to the bottom of the shaft, you can pick up a battery. Then, climb up the ladder and exit the shaft.

Once you exit, you'll see a security guard trying to fend off a zombie. Beat the zombie with your crowbar to help out, and then turn your attention to your right where there is another zombie. Let the guard take care of this one, because if you try to whack it with your crowbar, you'll get shot by your own friend. Now you can "use" the guard and have him follow you around. You'll soon find a long hallway with two more zombies at the end of it. He can take them out, but if they get very close, go around behind them and beat them. Now you'll go up and follow the only route you can until you reach the main lobby. The damned security doors won't open, so you'll have to turn wround and look behind the desk. There should be a grat that either a headcrab will break through or the crab will be waiting on the other side. At this point, the guard cannot folow you anymore, so kill him and take his gun. (I know that's a little cruel, but this is a walkthrough telling you how to get the most ammo and stuff, not be a human rights froot!). Bust that grate open and crawl through. Don't be too quick to get up and start moving, as another console will fall and maybe crush you. There is another crab waiting amongst the ruins here. Once it is disposed of, climb up the side of another toppled computer and enter a vent. Go down the new hallway and watch as a scientist tried to defeat a headcrab. Now look behind you to see a cool zombie freaking out in the chair. Not continue down the hallway and listen for high-pitched noises. That means you are near a new enemy. These things, called houndeyes, are relativly harmless. Just run up to them and hit them with a crowbar before the attack. There are a few of these creatures, kill them, and then go right when you have the change to see some body parts coming out of a vent. then go the left way and look up. It's that guy again! Now kill any remaining aliens and go into a room on your right. Charge up your health then go into a door across the hallway. Once youre through, folow the hall until you climb up a ladder. Shoot the tanks behind the zombies and then take a right. "Use" the scientist and then go onto the "balcony" area. Go into the door that the G-Man went into then wait for the scientist to use the retinal scanner. You can grab some ammo and grenades and then kill the scientist. THen jump off the balcony and go into the one place you havent explored yet. Take the right and bypass the left hall, check out the scientist in the dumpster, kill the headcrab tourmenting him, then go into the hallway you just passed. Shoot the zombie through the bars and then brake the grate below you. Jump down into the sewers and look for a valve. Before you turn it, look around for an alternate way up. Thats right - another open vent, not the one you entered from. Now go back to the valve, turn it, and rush up to the opening you saw earlier.

Now that you're out of the sewers, move onto the next area. This can be a little tricky, so read up. You need to firstly grab the ammo next to the lever up top, pull the lever, and run back down the ramp to the elevator. On your long ride, headcrabs will be falling down the shaft and jumping at you. Pull out yuor crowbar and stand in the middle of the platform. Duck when one gets close to you. If one gets stuck on the elevator, beat it up! At the bottom you should go right for the health, then jump onto the jagged structures and simply walk across. For some reason, you don't fall between the gaps. Then, stick close to the wall to avod the pack of crabs and run into the hallway.

Watch as the teleporting alien destroies your only path across the gap. Oh wait, what are those pipes on the wall? Could you manage to climb on them to the other side, what? Tally-Ho!

Once you make it to the other side, smash the vent and crawl through it to the end. Get out of it, pass the door marked "lower canal" and smash some crates for batteries. Now go into that door, climb down the ladder, and enter the lower canal. Shoot the acid-spitting alien (what is known as a bull-chicken) and then plop into the water. Don't go too deep, or you'll be grinded up. Here's a little secret that doesn't really save much time, but is cool. Once you get in the water, hold the up arrow whilr facing the slanted wall on the other side. You'll eventually make it up. Once up, you can go to the left door for some health, or the right one to move on.

This next room is very tricky unless you've become comfortable with precision jumping. One you climb up the set of ladders to your right, you need to jump onto the crates hanging down and use them as islands to get across. Once you're across, take the only possible route to a ladder. Climb up, and you'll find yourself on the other side of the canal. You'll also be near an elevator, which you should get onto. Welcome to the office complex!
